If I could choose any place to go in the world, it would be New Zealand. No contest.

If you are not familiar with this amazing country, let me enlighten you:

Basically, it is one of the most beautiful, unique places on Earth.

Get it now? Good.

I could post a hundred more beautiful pictures, but hopefully by now you understand. In case you don’t, here are some reasons to travel to New Zealand:

The terrain is so diverse.

There are mountains, beaches, hot springs, caves (with glowworms!), green pastures, waterfalls, beautiful cities and so much more to see.

The people are so nice.

How could people who call themselves “Kiwis” possibly be mean?! They are known for being so friendly and hospitable, even to clueless tourists. This definitely makes this beautiful place that much better.

There is a huge mix in ethnicity.

Probably relating to one of the reasons Kiwis are so nice is because they take pride in and respect their multicultural population. Other cultures have simply just added to the culture of New Zealand, although they still maintain the culture of the indigenous Maori people.

You are in close proximity to many beautiful countries.

The only downside to New Zealand would have to be the flight there (around $2-4 grand, yikes!). However, if you are going to spend the money to go all the way over there, might as well explore some other places like Australia, Fiji, Bali or somewhere in Asia. It would be a lot cheaper than trying to fly from the States or even Europe. Just a more convenient way to cross more things off your bucket list.

Adventure is everywhere.

Whether it is in the form of black water rafting through glowworm caves, skydiving, hang-gliding, bungee jumping, hot air ballooning, mountain climbing or surfing, New Zealand has everything you could possibly want when it comes to adventure. Even for the faint at heart, I’m sure getting to witness that beautiful view would be worth the 30-60 seconds of panic while jumping out of a plane, right?

This is totally and completely normal.

You can release your inner hamster!

You can relax.

After all that adventure, you are going to want to kick back and relax. New Zealand is known for its beautiful beaches and hot springs with water that Tiffany & Co. would issue a copyright violation against. There are also world-class spas, restaurants and shopping centers that will certainly put your mind (but maybe not your wallet) at ease.

They filmed Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit and many other movies here.

NZ is so beautiful that it’s no wonder it’s a popular site for films. Who wouldn’t want to have that scenery in the background? There are so many movie sets to explore. You might even come across a movie filming while you’re there.

There are no poisonous snakes or spiders.

Unlike it’s neighbor Australia, New Zealand’s wildlife is much more tame. (See “You can relax”).

The vineyards.

After you are done with filling your day with adventure and relaxation, why not fill yourself with some delicious wine? The vineyards aren’t bad on the eyes either.

You can view the Southern Lights.

Which are way better than the Northern and it’s not as cold.

Not only are the beaches beautiful…they have penguins!!!

Need I say more?

Well, if you’re not convinced by now, then I give up because New Zealand is truly spectacular and it needed to be on your bucket list yesterday.

P.S. Check out all of my New Zealand pins!
